Gallery Six (Brick Lane Gallery)

Our first exhibition was Held at The Brick Lane Gallery in London, October 2013 — which showcased an artistic exploration of beauty, happiness and positivity. Through this exhibit, we hoped to initiate a dialogue around the topic of breast cancer and in doing so, highlight the importance of emotional awareness in the context of living a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle. As a community, our aim is to not only provide a support network for the people and families that have been affected by Breast Cancer, but also to use the collective intelligence of the community, to one day, find a way to prevent this illness from occurring.

The exhibition featured BILLIE JEAN | CRUSH | HELLO LOVE STUDIO | HYPE TYPE STUDIO | JUDY KAUFMANN | MICHAEL C PLACE | MICHELLE THOMPSON | MILES YOKOSAKA | PLANNING UNIT | ROB PYBUS | SKEV | VIC LEE

100 limited edition Screen Printed Posters were created that are on sale to help raise money for the foundation. As well as Breast Casts TM in association with The Keep A Breast Foundation. T-shirts, sweatshirts, Milesmen, bracelets and many other items.

T2 N3 M1 (31mm) triple negative.
Diagnosed with a Brain Tumour November 2013

Elizabeth was a true inspiration to me on my journey so far. She touched my heart with her wonderful soul, spirit and positivity. We chatted about the positive side of Cancer, growing wheatgrass, eating apricot kernals and having a positive outlook. We talked about having a bald head she laughed that she blended right in in East London with her cap and most people thought it was her religion not that she was bald. She wanted to make me dinner but sadly I had to rush off to deliver another cast to an artist. We had a wonderful time and a good giggle making her cast. Very sadly she passed away in January 2014. She will be missed by her family, friends and fiancé.

Elizabeth’s positive thought from October 2013 —
The control that you can gain whilst going through what could be an awful time… Exercise and eating healthy is so important for feeling good! And of course the amazing support from my boyfriend, friends and family.

Positive thought —
Before my diagnosis I would always say ‘Maybe I’ll do that another time’. Now I realise that time may never come so I tend to live for the moment and I’ll try anything once. I’ve also met some wonderful people who have travelled or who are travelling down the same road as me. Cancer has made me revaluate pretty much everything.
